What is the Sounder Sleep System™?
The Sounder Sleep System™ offers a simple, holistic approach to improving sleep without medication.
The DayTamer™ & NightTamer™ mini-moves taught in the system are not only a valuable self-healing approach for insomnia relief, they are also an effective way to reduce anxiety, improve mood, and other stress-related symptoms.
The Sounder Sleep System™ techniques work together to ensure natural, restful sleep without disrupting your partner. They're easy to incorporate into your daily and nightly routine, requiring minimal time. The system can also be adapted for children, promoting better sleep for the whole family.
Benefits of Sounder Sleep System™
DURING THE WORKSHOP
What you’ll learn
The 10 hour workshop is designed over three days to allow enough time in class to learn and deeply experience the mini-moves and so you have three nights sleep to reset your nervous system so that you begin to feel the results by Monday morning.
You will learn and practice the three main components of the Sounder Sleep System™ that work together in an integrated way to ensure a more restful sleep. They are: Guided Natural Breathing™, DayTamers™ and Sleep Inducing Hypnogenic Gestures called NightTamers™.
Nicole will also teach you Mini-Moves called Calming Movements™ and Sleep Dances™ (formerly known as sleep yoga). All the Mini-Moves are variations on one essential theme: combining easy natural breath coordinated with minimal movement and attention.
The Sounder Sleep System™ will teach you Mini-Moves to use 1) during the day, 2) before bedtime and 3) in bed, to fall asleep and to fall asleep again during nighttime awakenings.
Daytime
DayTamers™ and Calming Movements™ help you gain capacity to manage stress and set the stage for a good night’s sleep.
Bedtime
NightTamers™ and Sleep Dances™ quiet your nervous system and prepare you for the descent into deep sleep.
Staring at your alarm clock? Wake up in panic? No worries. Night-Tamers™ will help you drift back to sleep and wake up refreshed.
I’ll Provide:

Virtual: Manual

FAQ
Who benefits from a workshop immersion in this system?
Everyone who wants to have a better quality of life will enjoy the calming effects of this system. This class series is ideal for anyone new to the Sounder Sleep System™ as-well as experienced students.
Do I have to take part in a sominar or can I just have individual lessons?
I recommend taking part in a sominar, because your nervous system requires the immersion to rewire and re-set.
It is advisable to come to a refresher course once or book a 1:1 with Nicole after practising by yourself for a while.
How long does it take?
Progress is cumulative, so while many will notice improvement quite early on, it usually takes about 3 weeks of structured practice for full results. Once you have completed the full 3 day workshop and reset your nervous system and you have internalized the lessons, you’ll find that even a brief bedtime session will achieve desired results for falling to sleep, going back to sleep or for relieving acute anxiety.
If you’ve been suffering from a sleeping disorder for several years and are also taking sleep medication, it will take longer. You will feel much better practicing the mini-moves, even if you’re not yet sleeping as long as you’d like.
Please see your GP for a full medical assessment of your sleep difficulties and before you consider any changes to your bedtime prescriptions.
Origins of the System
The Sounder Sleep System™ is based on a lifetime of study, experience, and observation by the system's founder, Michael Krugman. While original in its conception and implementation, it is inspired and informed by contemporary neuroscience and sleep research and utilizes time-tested principles common to all self-healing systems, both ancient and modern, including yoga, qigong, several meditation modalities, and the teachings of Dr. Moshe Feldenkrais.
The system has been proven effective by thousands of clients in clinics, schools, and hospitals worldwide. There are currently over 200 teachers of the system in twelve countries.
